Little Dachshunds Owners: Ryan and/or Jackie East HEALTH GUARANTEE and CONTRACT Puppy Contract and Buyer / Seller Agreement Health Guarantee: Seller certifies that this puppy is a purebred Dachshund, from a registered litter with the American Kennel Club (AKC). This puppy is of good health and free of communicable diseases. Seller guarantees puppy’s health for 72 hours after sale. During these 72 hours it is recommended that the puppy be checked by a licensed veterinarian, this visit is required for this health guarantee to be valid. Buyer assumes full responsibility (100%) of all costs and care of the dog after sale and during the span of Buyer’s ownership (vet bills, testing, housing, food, medicine, etc.). If puppy is found to be unhealthy within the 72 hour period Seller must be notified immediately. A copy from the vet with full description of illness is required. Puppy will be replaced or a refund issued. Even though this puppy is deemed healthy, parasites (including but not limited to worms, fleas, and ear mites), coccidia, and giardia are not covered under this guarantee. Full/Limited AKC: If you purchased your puppy with Limited AKC registration you agree to have the puppy spayed or neutered before the age of 8 months. Seller reserves the right to hold the puppies AKC papers until proof is provided. You agree to not breed that puppy under any circumstance (not intentionally, not unintentionally, and not accidentally). If you purchased your puppy with Full AKC registration privileges you will have the right to show or breed your puppy. You agree to not breed this puppy until 1 year of age is attained. Under no circumstance is Seller guaranteeing future breedability of said puppy. In the case of a female puppy you agree to not allow her to be bred before her 2nd heat. Breeding before the above time requirement nullifies all health guarantees. Injury/Neglect: This agreement becomes null and void due to any injuries or neglect regardless of whether accidental or intentional. Sizing: Breeder does not guarantee adult size on any puppy sold. Food, diet, exercise, age, and metabolism of each animal are different and have a direct impact on the adult “maintenance” weight. Seller states that said puppy is bred from 2 dogs that both qualify as miniature Dachshunds. Future Rehoming: Buyer agrees that if the time arises that Buyer can no longer provide a home for the puppy, the Seller will be contacted. Seller is offered first chance of taking the dog back. Buyer understands that there is no guarantee of receiving money from returning the dog to the Seller. If the puppy/dog is up to date on immunizations and able to be adopted out a portion of the adoption fee will be returned to Buyer. If puppy/dog needs veterinarian care the Seller will provide the care and no fees of any sort will be returned to the Buyer. This policy is in place to help ensure no puppy goes to a shelter. Buyer also acknowledges that by signing this agreement the Buyer agrees to not sell said puppy unless permission is granted from the Seller. Buyer understands and agrees that Buyer may not be able to recoup costs spent in the case of needing to re-home said puppy. Once signed this contract is binding and enforceable in court. Buyer agrees that all disputes shall be settled in the state of Missouri under the Christian County jurisdiction.
